THIS!!! I had a mare who required consent in order to act ”sane”. She was known as a sterotypical ”crazy arabian” and after I started listening to her, she got much better. She was still a very energetic athlete, but she was manageable. The same mare’s body started to give put on her, she lost a massive amount a weight and couldn’t regain it. She was still full of life, but her body wouldn’t have kept up with her, so she was euthanized after having one last summer to be pasture puff.
